The day belongs to you.

Alexander Bader picks you up, drives you and guides you. One vehicle, one person, no timetable. Starting in Tyrol, with destinations in four countries.

Pick up

We set off when it suits you.

No coach, no train, no group of strangers. No worrying about timetables, parking, the motorway vignette or tolls, because the route is planned before you get in.

Up to six people travel comfortably in the Mercedes Vito 4x4, up to five with luggage. Tours are held in German and in fluent English.

On the road

You decide where we stop.

The breaks and the stops are yours. You choose the highlights of the day yourself and we stay as long as you like. That is the great advantage of a private tour.

You go sightseeing on your own, without following anyone and without waiting for anyone. And if you would rather not plan a thing, leave the planning to me.

The tours start in Tyrol and go in every direction. South Tyrol and Italy, Bavaria, Salzburg, Vorarlberg and Switzerland are all within reach of a single day.

At the wheel

A chef, a hiking guide, an Austria Guide, a driver.

Eighteen years in a kitchen, seven years leading hikes, two years back at school and then the Austria Guide examination. In Austria that takes an exam, a trade licence and insurance. For you it means a well founded tour rather than a memorised lap.

Since 2021 I have been allowed to drive my guests myself. Drive & Guide grew out of exactly that.
